Kuretake

tried this japanese joint at the powerplant mall one random night when my friend and i were particularly famished. we really had no intentions of having japanese that night, but KURETAKE was right there, calling us in, and so we gave it a shot. the food was delicious and satisfying – the salmon sashimi was particularly delightful – although to be perfectly honest i’ve had better japanese cuisine in that same price range (read: expensive), so i wouldn’t necessarily call it a new favorite or anything. still, it was a lovely dinner filled with laughs and interesting conversation, which in the end is what really makes a meal memorable.
