Hooked

i still vividly remember a time when maxi lengths genuinely frightened me. they poured in years ago in overwhelming slews of designer, high street and local trends that both dazzled and intimidated me. it’s one thing to see them billowing on some designer runway, styled impeccably and displayed under stunning lights, and a whole other thing to pick up a random one from a store rack, try it in the dressing room and see everything that is wrong and unflattering in the mirror.
needless to say, it took me a long time to sum up the courage to even try a maxi dress (even longer to do a full outfit post wearing it), but i’m really glad i did, eventually. maxi skirts and dresses can be incredibly flattering on petite gals like me and are typically made to be SO comfortable that it’s hard to imagine ever taking them off. maxis are totes the new pajamas.
you can quote me on that.
dress – unarosa
jacket – unarosa
sneakers – converse
ring – c/o FTC

Can I just say that your outfit and the backdrop is just so, so romantic? I mean, this photo is perfect. I actually picture myself posing like this in an elegant Victorian-inspired backdrop (which I have yet to accomplish). Like me, I think you also have a penchant for “going back in time” 🙂 You do appreciate pretty little things. :))
