Mini Birthday Wishlist

it’s march again and hey, that means my birthday’s coming up!

there’s probably no one as excited about that fact as i am, which is why i’ve decided to put together this rambling blog post to talk about just how much i want to treat myself this year. i actually feel like i’m on an even bigger shopping mood around my birthday than the holidays, which is saying a lot.

first up on my shopping list: all the pretty — but functional — underwear. (idk, is that a growing-up / growing-old thing?) and i love, love, love the stretch satin range from SKIMS. so much so, in fact, that i just placed a small order on the site and i am giddily awaiting my parcel’s arrival.

if you read my last blog post, you’ll know how i was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of items from the brand actually appealed to me — their bodysuits especially! but now that they seem to be restocking more frequently, i am actually able to get my hands on their other sought-after pieces. their selection of nude underwear alone is honestly awe-inspiring. the cotton bras look super comfy (who doesn’t want that?), and i just want to hoard all their high-waisted briefs (i bought two! and want to get more!). plus the shapewear offerings are perfect for all the tight dresses and women’s pants in your closet.

next on my list: ALL THE PUFFY SLEEVES PLEASE, and thanks.

my undying love and passion for vintage has come around in full swing, hitting me especially hard when i went to bangkok at the beginning of february (see first pic above for one of my vintage finds!). i only purchased about a handful of ‘new’ things there and instead indulged in some good ol’ fashioned, wholesomely exhilarating, thrift shopping. i loved every moment of it. i’ve also been thrift-shopping loads since arriving back home, and finding myself hoarding vintage costume jewelry to top off my looks perfectly. but when all else fails, i can also rely on the always cute & quirky selection of jewelry by my longtime fave kate spade new york.
