although my look here is not exactly decade-accurate for the 50’s, i really enjoyed putting it together and wearing it out on one of my daytime dates with le boyfriend john. i even paired it with my first-ever attempt at a retro beehive! mine is admittedly quite tame so i found it super wearable, and overall it’s an easy hairstyle to achieve. it had also been a while since i’ve color-coordinated an outfit and i thought it apt for this fun, quirky look featuring john’s t-shirt (it fits me much better than it does him so i’m pretty sure i can call it my own now 😉 ) and my new converse kicks. i can’t remember the last time i purchased a new pair of sneakers but i couldn’t pass this pair up! it’s nice and bright and i can already imagine getting into all sorts of shenanigans as i wear them all summer long…
