one of my most-loved prints of all time is the classic black-and-white houndstooth. a design that is both timeless and quirky, i find that its biggest appeal lies with the way it balances well with a variety of colors, patterns and outfit styles. i mean, i suppose i could say that about every other print under the sun, but i sure can’t resist a good houndstooth print. this dress was a semi-recent addition to my wardrobe and i love it so much. actually it had been sitting in a box for months and months, but i had to wait for cooler temperatures to be able to wear it (ah, the perks of persistent tropical weather). it’s made of quite a thick fabric, so i have a feeling it will go right back to hiding in my closet until summer passes and the rainy season starts. i think next time i will pair it with some cute little boots — it could work nicely, no? normally, a clothing item like this that is too ‘seasonal’ ends up being given away after just one or two uses, but this thing of beauty is worth the extra bit of trouble.
