When Words Become Superfluous
photos by john
i am quite a bit late for valentine’s with this post, but here is a super feminine, lovey-dovey sort of look i’ve been sporting a lot lately. i’d never been a fan of the notorious hallmark holiday but i’ve really gotten into dressing up in the theme these last few years. what can i say, all the hearts and pinks and reds are too cute too resist!
on a different note, i have also been quite obsessed with this dainty little necklace. i believe it is my first cross-themed jewelry, and it appealed to me so much because of its subtle, delicate look. this thing of beauty was crafted in the holy land of israel, and is engraved with the word “bethlehem.” it’s just so easy to throw on any outfit without altering the look too much, but knowing you are carrying a truly special, interesting piece of work. that’s always good in my book.
and oh! huge apologies for my rather atrocious hair. i suffered from severe breakage the last time i got my roots bleached, which was over two months ago, so i vowed not to touch it for a while for fear of my hair completely falling off. i am still not sure when i will get it sorted and what look i will try next, but i am considering something fun like pink or purple dye!
