i have always loved the look of classic khaki pants but have a hard time pulling it off. i feel like they are less forgiving than dark trousers (black and navy are my favorites) and are much more likely to get soiled in the course of a full day, to which i am definitely prone. but khakis are still a great staple to have and i’ve certainly enjoyed wearing them over the years — albeit only a handful of times that i can recall. when i was looking for outfits for khaki pants in my archives i noticed a couple of recurring themes i seem to favor: preppy and/or menswear influences (bow ties, oxford shoes), brown-toned accessories and pairings with hues of blue. makes me wonder what other ways i can rock some good ol’ khaki trousers!
