Alpha-H Liquid Gold Review
the hype around alpha-H liquid gold has been around for years but i only recently decided to bite the bullet and try it for myself. i never cared much for skincare products before (to my regret), more so invest in something quite pricey, but i made a promise to better care for my skin, so…here i am.
alpha-H liquid gold is a glycolic based skin resurfacing treatment for all skin types* that “uses a state of the art, low pH delivery system to effectively diminish wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage.” i don’t yet have ageing skin or the signs commonly associated with it, but liquid gold is also recommended for acne-scarred skin, which is why i wanted to give it a go.
directions for use indicate application on face and neck (even décolletage) every alternate evening, followed by a moisturizer or serum when skin is touch-dry. however for a more intensive treatment they recommend skipping moisturizer altogether.
i personally opted for less-frequent application, skipping two nights in between use, without following it up with a moisturizer (i wanted to see its supposed amazing effects!). a tingling sensation will be felt for a few seconds after application — a completely bearable feeling, in my opinion — but after several uses it becomes less and less noticeable. two weeks into my liquid gold treatment, i noticed significant results: softer, more supple skin, shrinking pores and a more even-toned complexion. old blemish marks faded almost completely, too.
i now only use my alpha-H liquid gold twice a week (once on the weekend and the second mid-week) and i still see continuous improvement on my skin. this miracle liquid manages to make it look brighter and, overall, just really lovely to look at and feel.
i’m not sure if it is available locally but i purchased my 100ml bottle on LUXOLA during the holidays at a whopping 30% off. but its listing price is still very competitive — just over Php 1,900 while the price on the alpha-H website is $61.50 (over Php 2,700) — and you can purchase it HERE using the code LXBLOG, which gives you 15% off. TOTALLY worth it, if i do say so myself!
