Work Outfit: Rolled Up

a few days ago i was hurrying along the metro’s major road when my right shoe decided to disintegrate right on the paved walk, the sole coming off completely. i stood frozen on the spot for a good few seconds, unsure what to do and whether looking up would mean seeing dozens of scrutinizing eyes waiting to see my next move. thankfully there was no one in the immediate vicinity so i was able to regain my composure (after moments of silent, hysterical panicking, of course) and ran off to the mall that was, thank heavens, only a few meters from where i was standing.

i rushed to the cheapest shoe stall i could find and after several minutes of frustrated selection (my top design choices did not have my size available), i walked away with these ribboned blue flats and went about my day. it had meant my missing a very important errand for work, but at least i was able to go home with my feet safely snug in a new pair of shoes.
