Work Outfit: Lace And Denim

i’d be lying if i said i never once imagined myself decked in an outfit exactly like this: a pristine lace number dressed down by an oversized denim vest; moccasin boots and vintage shoulder bag lending just the right bohemian vibe to the mix. in fact it’s been one of my dream outfits for a while now, much like the moto jacket + frilly skirt combo i was able to actualize a long while ago. with such “dream outfits” i find myself leaning more towards looks that i frequently see on other people (blogs, magazines, on the street) and think to myself “if only i had that” — referring to the pieces which i lack to actually put together a similar look. sometimes it takes me days to find such missing pieces…sometimes weeks or several months.

but this outfit? i’m pretty sure i’ve dreamed about wearing it since college. so it didn’t even matter that my shoes got soaked in the rain or that i snagged my dress on a wire the day i wore this. i was floating on cloud nine.
