Better A Diamond With A Flaw Than A Pebble Without
photos by roxy
if you’ve been following this blog long enough – and read enough of my rants on the subject – you will know that i do not actually own a DSLR camera. and so while i frequently get commended for the lovely photos that i blog, i’m afraid i cannot really take credit for them. i am simply lucky to have talented friends around me who grant my photo-taking whims, as well as willing souls who lend their gear for the sake of quality content i try to post on here.
recently, my good friend (and brilliant photographer) charls lent me his 50mm lens and i had a blast working it with my aunt’s trusty old nikon. i certainly had fun taking photos of little things like coloured pasta i was cooking for dinner or random stuff i put on the tabletop. truthfully i am not very good at taking photos (i could do better with framing and composition!) but all that playing around just made me want to have a camera of my own even more. when i do get one, i can’t promise i won’t post a load of crappy photos on here with overly-giddy captions like “omgomgomg my camera is soooo awesome!“.
but i promise i will try to practice some self-restraint.

I feel you. I have no DSLR either. Either borrowing it or just use my phone for photos! Just getting it by with the post processing! :))

Woaah. I’m surprised that your photos are not taken by a DSLR. It’s sooooo good! Love you, Bestie!
