Ramen X
*first photo from ramen X
it was a random whim that made me try RAMEN X in trinoma. i was with my good friend charls and we were both quite hungry — but without a clue as to where to eat (a.k.a. story of my life). then i saw ramen X and i thought it was a good option for dinner, but charls told me he wasn’t too impressed with the food as he had tried it once before. he mentioned that their menu offerings are cheap though, so i figured it was worth a shot and told him to just try a different dish.
we got the gyoza appetizer to start with, and i actually liked it! it was just a simple dish; nothing really fancy. we then dug into our ramen bowls (charls had the chikuwa 7 ramen, which is a spicy seafood bowl, while i had the chicken-based karaage ramen) and i can honestly say i enjoyed myself. i am no expert on ramen but i thought it was pretty good: nothing life-altering, but is great value for money. my friend also liked his ramen better than the first one he tried before. i tried their hokkaido milk tea (i’ve definitely had better!) and charls got himself a red iced tea.
all in all i’d say my ramen X experience merits another visit soon, if only to see if they actually offer anything that will blow my mind.
