Oto Oto (Japanese-All-You-Can)
i’d been meaning to try OTO OTO‘s japanese-all-you-can for weeks now, being that the restaurant is but a 2-minute walk from my office building (and i am a huge fan of japanese cuisine!). i was finally able go there with a friend one particularly busy, tiring, HUNGRY day and oh my gosh, we could hardly walk straight after we ate.
the restaurant’s eat-all-you-can promo includes a basic menu (P195) with four kinds of maki, four dishes, unlimited steamed rice and miso soup, and bottomless iced tea. if you add an extra P100 though, you get a whole other menu set with two kinds of maki, three new dishes (including a very tasty sukiyaki), unlimited seafood rice — all added to the original menu.
we each got the whole shebang for P295 and could hardly finish everything, but we did our best. the food wasn’t particularly mind-blowing, but it wasn’t bad or anything. i’d say it’s all worth the price, especially because the sushi rolls were particularly enjoyable and i could’ve had loads more if i didn’t get so overwhelmed by everything else. we also got there kind of late so we hurried through most of our meal, but i’m certain with a bit more time, i would have savored every bite with more gusto. well, there’s always a next time. (;
