A Wrinkle In Time
i have a newfound respect for bloggers who take their outfit photos themselves (camera, tripod, self-timer). it really is a tricky thing, taking self-portraits. it involves so many elements: picking the perfect location to complement your outfit (without being too obscure — you are taking photos of yourself, after all), setting up your gear, checking if there is enough light in your area, figuring out the best composition for each shot, adjusting camera settings… and of course going back and forth to pose for the camera and then checking if your shot was any good. and then repeat.
these photos i took by myself aren’t particularly great – nor are they bad – but to be honest i was aiming for something better. it may have simply been because i wasn’t in a completely isolated location (there was a small group of people 20 meters away doing tai chi, from which i got curious glances every so often), which therefore made me incredibly self-conscious and hasty through most of my little shoot. i really hope it’s because of this reason and not because i’m just really bad at it.

i LOVE all the photos Ms. Bestie!! i like its vintage vibe and how you captured every detail seemingly creating a story! I can totally relate in what you’re saying coz sometimes if bestfriend isn’t around, i take the courage to do it myself. and i think the most challenging part is to think that no one is witnessing the awkwardness when moving from the camera to the spot and vice versa 🙂
