When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Dressmaker

a friend of mine, lara, used to operate a little online store called silly me clothing where she sold adorable belts (and other things) that she made. she even named one of her belts after me because i asked for the design specifically! such a sweetheart.

lara now designs clothes full-time and i must admit i’m a little jealous. she makes clothes for herself, too, and says she hasn’t bought RTW in over two years! imagine being able to make what you like and not be dressed like everybody else. ahh, that is the dream.

a few weeks ago we put our thinking caps together and created a fantastic dress that i am absolutely excited to show you guys! but for now, i am showing you this pretty floral maxi that lara made for herself. i also borrowed a formal dress from her recently, which i wore to a wedding. it’s lovely and exactly what i was hoping to wear for the occasion. i’ll try to post about that soon!

pretty sure i could live in this dress forever.
