The Mid-Calf Length
this is probably the scariest skirt length for me. it’s just so intimidating, you know? i stand 5-foot-1 and having my hemline cut so awkwardly simply does nothing for my height.
but as rebecca of the clothes horse had once put it, “life isn’t always about looking tall.” so i bit the bullet and tried this floral, boho-ish dress. it’s almost maxi-length on me, actually. i thought i’d play up the look with my favorite tie-up boots and some rings.
i did enjoy wearing this length; i felt so dressed up for the day! sadly no one was there to take my pictures, so i had to resort to the now-familiar zara dressing rooms. i picked out a handful of things to try on, too, but funnily enough my camera died after i took my outfit shots. woops.

You look wonderful! I'm the same height and have always been skeptical about maxi dresses. Lately though I've been trying mid calf swingy skirts with sky high heels and it looks okay. Now seeing you in the maxi dress, makes me reconsider!

I love that dress 😀 I wondered how tall you were! You’re the same height as me 😀 Heck yeah short people! Haha. It cna be a problem getting things that help elongate you height-wise when you’re petite ain’t it? Sometimes find it super frustrating 🙁 But you always pull it off somehow, I think you’re my new petite style guru ;D

aw thank you! (: haha yes, it can get rather daunting trying to make yourself look taller. but hey, we don’t ALWAYS have to look tall, right? x
