the only way to beat traffic is to hop on a motorcycle

so i tried everything – everything – to change the fate of my photos, but alas, they are gone forever. goodbye to pictures from years ago; of friends and family, of birthdays, reunions and christmases… most of all, so long, my dear outfit pics, including those that have yet to see the light of day.

(i’d cry, but i’m still in shock. and quite in denial as well..)

last monday’s state of the nation address was such a pain. i was tasked to do a story about the ‘fashion’ aspect of it, at the absolute last minute, so i had to improvise my way into the house of representatives. i borrowed a colleague’s specially accredited i.d., hitched a ride with a different reporter’s team, got stuck in the middle of thousands of rallyists and in the end hopped on a motorcycle to get thru the crazy traffic. oh, but this wasn’t my outfit. i was wearing jeans, thank heavens.

EDIT: i almost forgot, my answer to the gel journals’ question: well, first, the places i go to aren’t really vintage shops. there are hardly any of those here, especially ones that sell vintage clothes exclusively. ukay-ukays are basically secondhand stores, where you can sometimes find vintage items (if you’re lucky and look really, really hard!). anyway, it’s a bit difficult giving the exact addresses as i don’t know them myself – haha! – so i can only help by giving the ‘area’ and perhaps some directions. also, i made my e-mail accessible now.. feel free to contact me there.(:
